The 2018 decision to change our name from OFRH to NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon Foundtion grew out of our newly-released five year strategic plan, developed over months of engagement by our Board of Directors and staff with input from over 75 members and key organizational allies. We look forward to this plan guiding us through the growth needed to effectively meet the challenges and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. Knowing that now more than ever, Oregon needs a strong organization advocating for women and all people who can become pregnant, we identified the following four goals as critical to our organizations’ – and our movement’s – success.
The work of the NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon Foundation will focus on mobilizing our grassroots base, training the pro-choice champions of tomorrow, and overseeing implementation of our legislative victories such as the Reproductive Health Equity Act.
Our organization is proud of developing and implementing One Key Question® into a successful national program. As a state-based non-profit, we were able to advance the conversation on patient-centered pregnancy intention screening and work within systems in Oregon to support integrating preventive reproductive healthcare in sustainable way.
Power to Decide is the permanent home of One Key Question® as of July 1, 2018 and will provide training and support both within Oregon as well as nationwide. We are pleased with our partnership with Power to Decide and their commitment to ensuring the continued success of the One Key Question® initiative. Please reach out to Bill Albert, Chief Innovation Officer at Power to Decide (balbert at powertodecide.org), regarding all future projects involving One Key Question®, including scheduling training, signing MOU’s for implementation and research projects.
