NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon Welcomes New Board Members!

PORTLAND, Ore — We at NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon and NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon Foundation are delighted to share news about the expansion of our already prestigious board of directors. This year we initiated an open recruitment with the goal of bringing new, diverse voices to the organization’s leadership. In an outpouring of support, several dedicated prochoice champions are joining NARAL, bringing their talent and expertise to the reproductive justice movement. We are very please to introduce the newest members of the NPCO/F Board of Directors: Perla Alvarez Lucio, Dr. Stella Dantas, Connie Seeley, and Rachael Wiggins Emory.

Perla Alvarez Lucio (NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon) is from Estado de México and immigrated to Portland in 2006. Most recently, in her former role as Legislative Director with the OSA, she led their 2019 legislative agenda, securing millions of dollars in funding for higher education, and passing five policy bills including Tuition Equity for Graduate Students. Perla is now working with a powerful team in the #WeCountOregon campaign as Field Director to ensure that every community gets counted in Oregon. She is excited to work with NARAL ProChoice Oregon to advocate and ensure that each and every individual has access to comprehensive reproductive care.
