Volunteering with the EBC Access Project!
The Emergency Birth Control Access Project's mission is to decrease barriers to access by: · Educating Pharmacists about the functionality and proper use of Emergency Birth Control · Increasing awareness with Health Care Providers that offer Contraceptive Services about the need to talk with their patients about Emergency Birth Control · Engaging and educating the public about Emergency Birth Control and dispelling myths · Distributing information in communities about where women can go to access on-going birth control services including EBC in their community The Emergency Birth Control Access Project's goal is to work with people in each county to ensure that women have equal access to Emergency Birth Control. We are looking for people willing to give a couple hours to help with the distribution of our Public Education Campaign print media. We are also recruiting volunteer community educators to get in discussing women's reproductive health care, affordability, and accessibility. We hare having a literature drop about emergency birth control in Woodburn on Saturday July 31, from 11:30-5. We are trying to reach 1000 households so we need your help! We will be arranging carpooling so you do not need a car to join us. We need those of you that are passionate about women's reproductive health willing to give a bit of your time, and want to help a great cause! If you are interested or know of someone who would be interested in working with the project, please contact Gwende Silver at 503.223.4510 ex 18.
